Brightlycott Barton

Brightlycott Barton is a 4 acre south facing caravan and camping site near Barnstaple in North Devon with excellent panoramic views.

We have 23 pitches with electric hook up and the campsite is part of an all grass farm. In recent years the farm has moved away from keeping livestock and more intensive agriculture to regenerative farming with an emphasis on sowing herbal leys and planting native species trees.

The site consists of 23 level pitches with electric hook-ups (16amp) plus an area for tents.

The ablution block includes 6 showers, laundry and wash up facilities and a room with facilities for the disabled (a ramp that leads down to the ablution block with a dedicated room for the wheelchair disabled with shower/wc/wash basin)
Washing machine and fridge/freezer free to use in the block and a coin operated tumble dryer.

Barnstaple town, which is 2 miles from the campsite, has a historic pannier market, a leisure centre and an indoor tennis centre – Tarka Tennis. The tarka cycle way can be joined at Barnstaple. There are many lovely beaches in the area, the nearest being approx. 7 miles from the campsite.

We are just 5 miles from a 9 to 18 hole golf course and 2 miles away is a fly fishing and trout farm where you can catch your supper for a barbecue in the evening.

Exmoor National Park with its stunning scenery is very close by.
